Steam has been encouraging us to consolidate our payment processing through their platform. After careful consideration, we agree this is the right move. Many of you already use Steam daily for gaming, so managing your OHD membership there just makes sense.

Let's be honest – managing subscriptions across Patreon, Discord, and Donorbox was complicated for both you and us. With everything on Steam and our website, it's simpler, cleaner, and more integrated with the game itself.

Better Control & Communication

Having our own platform gives us unprecedented control over how we communicate with you. We can:

• Control who sees what based on membership tiers

What's Happening to Patreon, Discord, and Donorbox?

Timeline

We'll be transitioning away from these platforms over the coming months:

• Patreon: Will be phased out as we migrate supporters to the new system
• Donorbox: Same as Patreon – moving to Steam-based payments
• Discord Payments: We're keeping our Discord community (it's not going anywhere!), but we'll disable payment processing there in favor of Steam
• Discord Community: The Discord server stays! It's still the heart of our community for chat, events, and coordination
